Sustainability

Every component has been designed to minimize the environmental footprint. Recycled materials, water-based ink, local European manufacturing.

Sustainability

Less metal, more recycling, zero paint

The retractable barrier industry has traditionally relied on painted steel—a heavy material that is difficult to recycle and involves a polluting finish process. We have redesigned the product from the ground up to eliminate these issues: recycled polymers instead of steel, color integrated into the material itself instead of paint, and water-based ink instead of solvents for printing the belts.

From industrial waste to finished product

Progressive-braked tubes are made of PVC containing at least 50% post-industrial recycled material. The polypropylene used in bases and internal components contains 70% recycled material. The total percentage ranges from 60% to 100% depending on the selected color.

All materials are 100% recyclable at the end of their useful life, closing the loop.

Elimination of metal

Steel reduced to a minimum

We have reduced metal to the bare minimum without sacrificing quality or functionality. By manufacturing the product 99% from polymers, we eliminate the painting process—one of the most polluting stages of industrial production—along with the solvents, primers, and waste it generates.

The color is integrated into the material during manufacturing, which also eliminates the problem of chipping and corrosion.

Water-based ink for customisation

All ink used in the dye-sublimation process to customise the belts is water-based and environmentally friendly. No organic solvents, no heavy metals. The result is a highly durable HD print with minimal environmental impact.

Design and production in Barcelona

All products and raw materials are manufactured in Europe, supporting local commerce and reducing the carbon footprint of transportation. The extrusion of the PVC tube, the injection molding of the base and casing, and the complete assembly are carried out at our plant in Barcelona.

Product design and development are carried out at our office in Mataró, Barcelona.
